01 — Why a local entity
KVI is not a trading desk. It is an Indonesian company — Indonesian-owned and operated, in Jakarta — holding the official mandate of Kata Valve (Group) Co., Ltd., with the factory's engineers, quality system and warranty behind every valve it brings into the country.
That structure means national projects get the best of both worlds: the technology and manufacturing muscle of a global, fully integrated valve factory — and a local partner that is accountable, reachable in your time zone, fluent in your language, and invested in the country's long-term industrial future.

02 — Strategic project support
The sectors behind Indonesia's national strategic projects — and the KATA valve families that serve them.
Upstream and midstream facilities, gas processing and transmission, LNG terminals and small-scale LNG — served by fire-safe ball, gate and globe valves, DNV-certified cryogenic ball & gate valves for −196 °C service, and check valves for flow assurance.
Smelters and refineries under the national downstreaming program move abrasive, corrosive and high-temperature media. KATA's cast and forged range — including Stellite®-hardfaced gates and duplex-material options — is built for continuous process duty.
Steam, cooling and fuel systems in thermal plants, gas turbines and industrial utilities — pressure-seal globe valves for high-temperature service, and dependable isolation valves across the balance of plant.
Transmission mains, treatment plants and distribution networks — large-diameter butterfly valves up to 180″, with zero-leakage soft-seat designs and AWWA-compliant options for potable-water duty.

03 — The local content vision
Indonesia's local-content (TKDN) agenda is about more than percentages — it is about industrial capability that stays in the country. KVI is built for that agenda.
KVI is an Indonesian legal entity, owned and operated by Indonesians in Jakarta. Every import is handled by a fully licensed national company — complete, auditable documentation for every transaction and for TKDN reporting.
Quotation, technical qualification, specification review and after-sales support are delivered by our Jakarta team — trained with the principal — creating skilled local jobs in Indonesia's valve and process industry.
As Indonesia's manufacturing capability grows, we are committed to growing with it — working with the principal to identify local manufacturing, assembly and service scope that can be developed in-country.
We bring the factory's know-how to Indonesian projects — valve selection and sizing support, installation and maintenance training, and direct access to the principal's R&D for special applications.
KATA valves are manufactured at the principal's facilities in China and imported into Indonesia by KVI as the licensed national entity. Local content in today's KVI offer means: an Indonesian company, local engineering and after-sales, local jobs, and complete documentation for TKDN reporting on every import. We do not claim domestic manufacturing we do not yet do — we state our commitment to build it, step by step, with the principal.
